Petroecuador Oil Field Development & Automation
Upstream Oil Field Modernization in Ecuador. Delivered Electric Actuators (AVA/AVAT series) using 56 Units for Petroecuador (EP Petroecuador).

Why This Project Matters
Petroecuador is the backbone of Ecuador's economy. Being integrated into their upstream production facilities proves that GREATORK actuators meet the high technical requirements of South American national oil companies (NOCs) and can compete directly with established Western brands.
Many of Ecuador's oil fields are located in the Amazon basin, characterized by extreme humidity and high rainfall. Our actuators' IP68 double-sealing and anti-corrosion coating are essential for maintaining electrical integrity in these challenging tropical rainforest conditions.
Deployed at wellheads and gathering stations, these 56 units automate critical isolation and flow control tasks, significantly enhancing operational safety and reducing the environmental risk associated with manual valve operation in remote oil fields.
Technical Solutions Deployed
Certified for the most hazardous zones (Zone 1 & 2), ensuring that any internal electrical spark is contained, which is paramount in the volatile environment of an active oil field.
Allows Petroecuador engineers to perform diagnostics and commissioning without opening the flame-proof enclosure, preventing the entry of humid air or contaminants into the sensitive electronic compartment.
Provides constant, battery-free valve position monitoring. Even during localized power outages in the rainforest, the actuators retain their position data, ensuring a quick and safe restart of production.
